Chloe True Benton

My name is Chloe True Benton and I am a May 2025 graduate from the BFA Illustration program at the School of Visual Arts. I am seeking full time, on site or hybrid opportunities as a pattern or print designer in the surface design field; including designing for textiles, soft accessories, stationery, home goods, and other such consumer products. I am beyond confident that my expertise in concept origination and execution, my high level of talent and craftsmanship in a wide variety of mediums, not to mention my ability to be a collaborative team player and friend to my peers can and will add value to any team in a dynamic, creative environment.

My creativity and imagination are two of my biggest strengths—I specialize in generating fashion-driven, on-brand concepts and bringing those ideas from sketch to reality. I have mastery in Adobe Suites, multiple traditional mediums, and thrive when given direction as a collaborative, disciplined, and flexible team member who can work independently as well as partner cross-functionally.

My love of surface design has always reigned supreme; as long as I can remember I have had a penchant for patterned pajamas, quilts, tablecloths—you name it, I love it! I want to make someone feel as cozy, dainty, and at home in their body that the patterned things that I have and cherish make me feel. Filling a surface design role would be the perfect fit for me to utilize my gifts as an artist, but would also be a full circle, coming home moment to contribute to a brand that inspires and cultivates my love of surface design while simultaneously allowing me to put it out into the world for others to bask in.

I am based in New York City, have all necessary equipment to work remotely, hybrid, or in person and am willing to travel if needed. I am available for an in person interview, a video chat, or call Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 9am and 5pm and can be reached via chloetrueart@gmail.com or (801) 906-3264.

Looking forward to hearing from you! xo,
